Welcome to the Hilltoppers Golf Society

We are a small group of golfers at the Radcliffe-on-Trent Golf Club who play social golf under the name of The Hilltoppers Golf Society. Together with the Rotary Club of Hucknall we raised £50,000 between 2001 and 2009 for the Friends of the Children of Chernobyl charity, and in 2011 we raised £12,000 to purchase a state of the art Prismaflex Machine for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham.

For our 2012 project we have decided to support the development of the new Cystic Fibrosis Unit at the City Hospital, Nottingham.

Cystic Fibrosis (C.F.) is the UK's most common life-threatening inherited disease and the average age of survival is just 38 years. C.F. patients often have to stay in hospital for 2 weeks or more at a time, several times a year, and have to be segregated from one another due to the risk of dangerous cross-infection. With this in mind, Nottingham Hospitals Charity want to create a "home at hospital" for them.

A considerable amount of equipment is required for the new centre and so the Hilltoppers, together with the Rotary Club of Hucknall, plan to raise £7,500 to purchase 2 ultrasonic nebulisers and a Treadmill Tunturi T Track T90.
